Katherine and Gabe’s story is a profound testament to the truth that God’s sovereign plan is always at work. Their paths first crossed on Instagram, where Katherine noticed Gabe’s profile in the comment section of a post for Christian singles. He immediately caught her attention, and after a quick look at his profile, she decided to follow him. At the time, Gabe had just returned home to Gulf Breeze from his work with Central Church in Las Vegas. After receiving Katherine’s follow, it wasn’t long before he sent the first message. What began as thoughtful conversations in the DMs soon turned into meaningful phone calls, then FaceTime dates that lasted late into the night, where they discussed their relationships with Jesus and their hopes for the future. Eventually, Gabe invited Katherine on their first date in Tallahassee. They shared a wonderful meal, enjoyed crème brûlée for dessert, and by the end of the evening, both knew that what they had was something worth pursuing — even with the obstacles ahead. From that day forward, they were inseparable despite the miles between Gulf Breeze and Gainesville. What could have been an obstacle became a joyful routine, each trip another reminder that distance means little when you are going to see your best friend. On September 19, 2025, Gabe asked Katherine to marry him at her childhood home on Little Lake Weir in Ocklawaha, Florida, just as the sun began to set, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their journey is a testament to the Lord’s faithfulness and intentionality. It is clear that He hand-selected Katherine and Gabe for one another, equipping each of them with qualities that perfectly complement the other.
