Drake and I had known each other through mutual friends and Greek life since I started college in 2019. After both going to PCB for spring break in 2020, we exchanged numbers, but nothing really came of it. In July 2020, he had texted me saying he thought I was so beautiful and that he wanted to take me on a date. We went to Blackhorse as our first date a few weeks later, and the rest is history!

Drake told me that he was going on an overnight retreat for the weekend over an hour away. Instead, Drake (plus my dad and my dad's best friend) spent the entire weekend building a platform on the lake that he would stand on to propose to me. They spent hours upon hours laying gravel to build this platform on top of. He had lights hung up in the trees the entire walk down to the lake and it was absolutely beautiful! My (soon to be) in laws plus my dad were watching the entire thing from the deck, and my mom and my dads best friend were on the boat capturing it all! It was the most perfect proposal ever, and it was even more special that our families got to experience it with us!
