Two east-coasters found themselves out west in the Golden State. During a Sonoma County autumn, Kaleigh - who had traded her Maryland driver's license for a California one just a couple weeks prior - answered an OkCupid message that made her homesick heart beat ("Hey hey! You're from Maryland? I'm from Howard County!!"). The profile picture featured a young man holding an immense radish. Over a few beers at Ernie's Tin Bar, among the dairy farmers and seated next to a man dressed like Santa Claus, there were sparks. Luke mentioned he managed an organic farm, Kaleigh was envisioning starting a farm stand in the health clinic where she worked. They both ordered Allagash White (because it was their favorite beer at the time).
And then road trips to Bodega Bay. Seeding, planting, and harvesting through the Petaluma seasons. Camping in Death Valley and hiking in Abiquiu. Dancing in living rooms, in dive bars, in cars. On a golden May afternoon, after driving down winding roads up the north coast of California, Luke knelt under a redwood - in a grove they had visited six years before - and asked Kaleigh to marry him. Here we are now -- still hiking, road-tripping, dancing, and growing. We cannot wait to celebrate the joy of our love with you, who mean so much to us :-) <3 Kaleigh & Luke
