Kalee's Version: My longtime high school friend, Brianna, had called and said she had somebody she wanted me to meet. Her boyfriend (who I actually, coincidentally went to Middle School with. Sup Charlie!) had a friend from college that owned a bee farm in Sorrento. (Bee farm!?) And he was single and ready to mingle. They were going out that weekend for Charlie's birthday and their friend, Keith, would be there! Unfortunately, after many miserable set ups, I was not the least bit interested in another set up. However, I ended up going as I wanted to meet up with Brianna and wanted a fun night out. That should be the cute end of the story, right? Nope! I ignored Keith the whole night. Purposefully did not speak to him. (I know, I still feel bad about it to this day!) But hey, I had my reasons! We did manage to exchange numbers though. After severe regret of not speaking to Keith the whole night before, I texted him and thanked him for coming out. After we exchanged a few texts back and forth over a few days, he asked me to dinner. Still not convinced of this "set up", I declined. But persistent Keith was not going to take no for an answer! After a month of him finding any way possible to get to know me, even if it was just shooting guns for 2 hours on a Sunday morning or having game night at our friend's house, he was going to make sure he got to know me. I was impressed! I was finally convinced when we drove all the way to Georgia to go spend the day at mudhole. This man was intentional! It was that night I told him we could "officially" start dating. Two weeks later he asked me to be his girlfriend. And a year later he asked me to be his wife. Keith's Version: Much like Kalee's version, we "met" one night in Mount Dora. Our mutual friends were attempting to set us up and clearly Kalee wasn't interested, however that didn't deter me. We hardly said a word to each other and at the end of the night when I walked her to her car I tripped over a curb. Attempting to play it off smooth didn't work and she laughed at me, but not in that cute flirty way. I said goodbye and fully expected to never meet with her again. I woke up the next morning and discovered my puppy had found my glasses and used them as his personal chew toy. That wasn't the best start to my day but shortly thereafter, I received a text from none other than Kalee! She said that it was nice to meet me and wished me the best. I didn't understand how to react to this so I just figured I might as well shoot my shot, so I asked her out to dinner. She of course declined me, again. Great, so much for that. I tucked my tail and admitted defeat. I kept up with her however, through a few texts here and there over the next weeks. Finally, I asked her if she would like to go shooting with me and she said yes. But it wasn't a date! She wouldn't even have lunch with me afterwards! Kalee drew a hard line with me on her boundaries and I respected that about her. We would meet up several more times over the coming weeks with friend for dinner and drinks. All the while, gradually getting to know each other better. Finally, I worked up the courage to ask her out to go off-roading in my Side by Side. She said yes and we had the absolute best time. She was so easy to be around, and we drove all the way to Waycross, GA to the offroad park and back and I felt like I was with my best friend the whole time! After that trip, she told me that she was comfortable enough for me to ask her to be her boyfriend, of course I asked her, and she said yes! I knew then that she was so special to me so of course fast forward a year later, and I ask her to be my wife, wouldn't you know she said Yes again!
