"I first saw Madi in the fall of 2018. I was still studying at Purdue University Fort Wayne, and I was hanging out with some friends at our friend Faith's dorm when she walked in. I was instantly enamored, and took every opportunity to talk to her. We went from acquaintances to friends in the span of a few weeks, small-talking about Taco Bell and the like. All the while, I had my mind set on her. She was all I thought about on my walks across campus, and I was happy just to hang out whenever I got the chance. After a few outings as friends, it took my future Best Man pep-talking both of us for me to finally ask her out, awkward as it may have been.
