FAQs

Question

Children?

Answer

Children are welcome to attend the ceremony however so that everyone can let their hair down and party the night away we ask that no children attend the reception. If you need help to find a local babysitter please get in touch and we will help where we can. For our Friends and Family with young babies, please don't let this put you off. If your baby is only young and you would still really like to come please just have a chat to us.

Question

Ceremony & Reception Location

Answer

Due to a change in circumstances both the Ceremony and Reception will be held in One Tree Point/Marsden Cove area. We apologise for any inconvenience for those who have booked accomodation in Waipu already.

Question

Long Weekend?

Answer

Yes. We have chosen to have the wedding on the Friday of Labour weekend. This gives people from out of town an extra long weekend to enjoy Northland. It also means that those who have other Labour weekend plans will still have the full long weekend available.

Question

Why One Tree Point?

Answer

The ceremony venue (dependent on weather), is Kate's family beach house. This is where she spent almost every summer of her childhood, and the majority of her weekends. Her grandparents purchased the house when Kate was young and it holds some amazing family memories. Now that Kate's Grandparents have passed this little beach holds a hold an extra special place in her heart, so what better place than here.

Question

Photos.. Yes, No, Maybe?

Answer

We ask that for the Ceremony, you sit back and relax and let the professional wedding photographers do their thing! Please no photos with phones, ipads, digital cameras etc during this time. Once the Ceremony is finished, please feel free to take as many photos as you like. We do also ask that you do not post any photos of the Bride or Groom on social media until they have posted one themselves, once they have posted online feel free to share as many photos as you like and make sure to use our wedding hastag.. #CheersTutuas
