FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 10, 2026 so we can plan accordingly—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving around 5:00 PM so you have time to get settled before the ceremony begins.

Question

What is a Second Line?

Answer

A New Orleans Second Line is a celebratory, brass band-led street parade rooted in African American and Caribbean traditions. The “first line” includes the band and the wedding party, followed by the “second line,” where guests and spectators join in dancing and celebration. Originally part of jazz funeral traditions, Second Lines now celebrate life, weddings, and community—often featuring umbrellas and handkerchiefs. Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Fun and fabulous! Think cocktail to formal—no need for black tie. Feel free to embrace festive New Orleans style with fun colors, bold patterns, and a little flair. Suits for the guys, and please no denim. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is a small on-site parking lot (approximately 50 spots) with a parking attendant, as well as free street parking nearby. Due to limited availability, we recommend carpooling or using rideshare services.
