FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

The Olde Church in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee!

Question

When should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

We recommend about 20-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

Cumberland Gap is a small town, there is plenty of parking well within walking distance as well as street parking nearby. We recommend the parking lot near Gap Creek Coffee House. Please do not park immediately in front of the church.

Question

What is the weather like during this time of year?

Answer

Historically, it is a high of 65 to low of 35. The cocktail hour will be in an outdoor tent for a short time, please dress accordingly.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress your best! Semi-formal is the dress code, wear a gown or tux if you desire, but cocktail dresses and suits are also encouraged. Please refrain from T-shirts, jeans, whites, or creams (that is the bride's color!) It may be chilly during cocktail hour, please be prepared with a jacket or shawl.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding? Can I post them?

Answer

The bride and groom have invested in a photographer and videographer to capture the ceremony. Please turn your phones on silent and be present with us during this time. For the rest of the festivities, yes!! Take all the pictures! There will be a link to a photo circle to share any candid moments we missed. We will also have a "photo station" with a backdrop to remember your time with us!

Question

Do I have a plus one?

Answer

Due to the venue's capacity, our wedding will be intimate and shared only with those we hold dear. Only those who are traveling long distances or have a long-term partner have been extended a plus one. We hope you understand.

Question

Can the kids come to the wedding?

Answer

We love our sweet babies! Due to the intimacy of our celebration, only children with an invitation are invited. Please let the bride and groom know if you have any questions or extenuating circumstances. (865)-978-7191

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

The bride and groom are still organizing the food preparations, but more than likely, there will be salad, a protein, and sides of pasta and vegetables. Don't forget to join us for cake as well!

Question

What if I have dietary or allergy restrictions?

Answer

Many family members (including the bride!) have gluten allergies and more. There will be gluten-free and dairy-free options, but please list your dietary restrictions in your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will have a selection of wine and beer. Please drink in moderation, someone's gotta drive home!
