A city with so much to offer! We've spent a lot of weekends in this town and the surrounding area. From live music, to scenic landmarks, and even better food... there's so much to explore if you're traveling through. This is one of our favorite state parks! Beautiful waterfalls, hidden pools, and wonderful stargazing!
Fantastic eats and lots to do in this town! Explore local shops, float the river (Comal or Guadalupe), catch a drive in movie, or listen to live music. Fun fact, we ate lunch at Krause's Cafe & Biergarten the day after we got engaged! One of our first trips together was to San Antonio, but of course we had to stop at the Gruene Historic District to visit Gruene Hall.
Cool sites and calming river access to unwind!
Really relaxing waterfall and great pools also available. Highly recommend packing a picnic for an afternoon.
Another great place for live music, great food, and local shops! Go wine tasting, visit the peach orchards, or adventure down to Luckenbach TX. A fantastic place to visit in the summer or in the fall... did someone say Oktoberfest??? (if you feel like coming back in October lol). This town is also home to another good hike at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.
