let's do this!

Two dinners were planned this day to celebrate Kelsey's twenty-third birthday. Little did she know, Kale had planned the biggest of all parties. They both went to eat lunch with Kelsey's family first at Brad and Carolyn's. Kale acted very distant and hardly ate a thing, talking to Kelsey's sister most of the time. (Kelsey now understands why) Kale had then told Kelsey that his family wanted to have her over for dinner that evening to give birthday presents to her. When they arrived to Dino and Aimee's, Kelsey was shocked to see Kale's entire family. She didn't think anything of it, however. They always did everything together. The pizza was soon ordered, and Kelsey was still clueless. Kale and his dad took what seemed like forever to go pick up dinner. Everyone was getting very impatient. The instant Dino and Kale walked through the door holding boxes of pizza, the entire mood of the room changed. Dino began setting up the pizza for everyone to eat. Kelsey walked over and demanded her all-time favorite cheese pizza, especially because this was her birthday. Kelsey was floored when Dino slid a personal pizza box over to her, with the words "Birthday Girl Only" written on the top. She was so excited by the pizza that she didn't notice everyone gathering around and sliding their phones out of their pockets. When Kelsey opened the pizza box, she quickly found more words written on the inside, "Will you marry me or this too cheesy?" She turned to see Kale on one knee, and of course, she couldn't help but say yes.

Kale and Kelsey went to high school together, but had never really talked to one another before. Three years after high school, Kelsey received a text from Kale late one night while up at school in Indianapolis. It read, "If I like Chris Stapleton and photography, do you think I have a chance?" It was soon understood that Kale had texted Kelsey's sister, McKenzie, before texting Kelsey just so he knew how to get my attention. Of course, Kale had a the biggest chance - Kale and Kelsey have been in contact everyday since.
