Brad and Kalani were friends for many years before dating. Brad has played softball with Kalani's brother's for several years. Through this, they developed many mutual friends. Brad and Kalani were in a few Fantasy Leagues including football, baseball and basketball. They started hanging out more the end of 2012 when Brad would bring Kalani and her roommates pizza and pasta from Pizza Hut. Brad and Kalani's first date was January 19th, 2013. They had dinner and went to the Minnesota Timberwolves game. The Wolves beat the Houston Rockets 92-79. The leading scorer for the Wolves was Andrei Kirilenko with 21 points LOL! Brad and Kalani share the love of sports, especially their favorite sport, baseball. It is on their bucket list to visit all MLB stadiums. The last 6 years have consisted of a lot of sporting events, new restaurants and travel. Kalani has even convinced Brad to go to a few musicals at the Orpheum Theatre. Brad and Kalani always have a great time out and about or staying in at home.

Brad had planned the proposal for a while and talked with his parents and Presley. He wanted to propose during their Florida trip in January 2018. Brad and Presley went to design the ring in November of 2017. Once the ring was finished, Brad asked Kalani's parents for permission. Throughout December, Brad had told the rest of his and Kalani's families about his plan. In January, Brad, Kalani, Presley and Kalani's parents, spent a few days in Orlando. They visited Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Magic Kingdom. After Orlando, they drove to Daytona Beach to spend a few relaxing days at the beach. Who would have thought Florida would have records lows during the trip?! Kalani thought the proposal might happen during the trip, but after no signs from Presley, she dismissed the thought. Brad had planned the proposal to occur the first sunset in Daytona Beach, which just happened to be their 5 year anniversary! After a few beach sunset pictures, Kalani looked over and Brad was down on one knee with the ring!
