One of our favorite spots! Park near OMSI and walk towards the water and the fire station for this view! You can also follow the waterfront loop which circles both sides of the river.
Our favorite nearby sandy beach on summer days. Pack chairs or a blanket, and a picnic. Make sure to stop and get a pass from the Sauvie Island store immediately after you get onto the island from the bridge. Once you follow the roads ~20 minutes into the island, you’ll drive along the water. If you park on the concrete, you’re on Reeder Beach. If you park on gravel, you’re on Collins Beach, a nude beach.
