Yes. All guests must be vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend the reception and other events during the weekend. Proof of vaccination will be required for entry into the reception venue (photos, scans, copies, etc. will suffice). In light of immunocompromised friends and family members attending the events, we are not willing to take any risks. Additionally, this is a requirement of our reception venue. If for some reason you are unable to be vaccinated and still want to attend, you must contact us directly at least 60 days in advance to determine whether an alternative arrangement/exception can be made. If we are able to accommodate any unvaccinated persons, we will disclose the identities of those individuals on this page prior to the events and what precautions we are taking.
Because vaccinations are required for guests in attendance, a negative COVID-19 test will not be required for entry. Still, in light of the recent spread of the Omicron variant, we are encouraging guests to take a rapid PCR test prior to attending to confirm no exposure to COVID-19.
All of our guests are vaccinated and most are recently boosted. However, not all members of the band (Rewind) on NYE are vaccinated. We have asked that they wear masks while not performing and maintain distance from our guests. As for other events throughout the weekend, we cannot guarantee that all bar patrons are vaccinated. However, the City of New Orleans still requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for entry into establishments.
Yes! But…a picture or scanned PDF on your phone is perfectly fine to show in lieu of bringing and carrying your actual card around all weekend. We will have security at the Marigny Opera House checking proof of vaccination and your ID to match up to our guest list to take precautions against any issues with the city and to minimize health and safety risks for all of our guests. Please have your scanned copies/pictures and your ID pulled up and ready to show upon entry to the MOH to minimize wait time to get in. Additionally, per city of New Orleans requirements all non-essential establishments (bars, restaurants; basically anywhere that isn’t a grocery store or pharmacy) are required to check for this if you are patronizing their place.
If you’re not within walking distance of the venue on NYE, you may want to start thinking about how you’re getting home that night. Cabs/Ubers can be difficult to get during peak NYE hours (just like most cities) and having something lined up and/or having some cash on hand to pay for a cab or other means of transportation is generally a good idea. Uber and Lyft can be sometimes difficult during different times of the night. You can always try to schedule one if you know exactly when and where you want to be picked up (at the venue or for an after party). Most, if not all taxis will be cash only and probably charging an elevated flat rate fee per person. The city does have blue bikes and that can be an option but they may be difficult to find as well. Make sure you have the proper blue cross and blue shield blue bikes of Louisiana app installed to make this work.
