Our story began with a simple swipe right...what started as a casual conversation about teeth (yup, that's right, teeth) on a dating app soon turned into something much more. Even though we had instant chemistry, there were a few states between us (RIP to our gas tanks), BUT we did not let the miles stop us. From our first date to now, we’ve had many adventures in Maryland, DC, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and, most memorable of all... Wilmington, DE. So, when looking for venues, we knew the first place we should check out was our favorite city.

The Proposal Part 1
Answer
It was the question that every person about to propose dreads: how do I make this a surprise for my nosey girlfriend? For Avanish the vision was clear, he wanted to propose in Cappadocia with the iconic hot air balloons in the background. Avanish being the planner he is, started months in advance by complaining about his hair randomly and telling Kajal that he wants to go to Turkey for a hair transplant. Kajal being as gullible as she is fell for it and agreed to finally go to Turkey after a whole YEAR of telling Avanish that he didn’t need a hair transplant. Finally, the morning of the big day arrived. Everything was planned out perfectly as they had made it to Cappadocia smoothly except one thing. Kajal ended up feeling under the weather and Avanish had to keep his cool even though he was panicking on the inside. He decided to take a shot in the dark and tried a rhetorical question. He causally asked her “Do you want to stay in today? Lets just rest!”. Avanish prayed that his question would prompt exactly what he wanted and thankfully she said “No way we can’t miss this we only have one day to explore” thinking that the next day Avanish was getting his hair transplant. PHEW!

The Proposal Part 2
Answer
The “tour guides” came to pick them up and did a great job tricking Kajal into thinking they were simply exploring the city. Those tour guides were actually the photographers and she had no idea. They were such great actors that they casually threw some random facts about the area and stunned them (especially Kajal). As they pulled up to the top of the mountain, the supposed tour guides offered to take some pictures which Kajal was excited about because those two rarely took nice pictures. While they started taking some solo shots of Kajal, little did she know that behind her, Avanish was prepping to get down on one knee and ask the big question. Kajal was told to turn around and there Avanish was on his knee with a ring. In shock Kajal just stared with beaming eyes covering her mouth speechless looking at her future fiancé. At the same time Avanish was finally relieved that the moment was happening that he forgot to ask the important question “Will you marry me”? Kajal without being asked excitedly said “YES” and the rest was history! Now Kajal finally realized that there was no hair transplant and that Avanish pulled off this epic surprise to propose! Fast forward to now we are excited to be celebrating with you all soon!
