Things To Do

We know you are traveling to be here with us on our special day, but we want you to make your trip more than worth while. Here are some activities you could do while you're in this beautiful part of California.

Lewis Creek Trail South Trailhead

Cedar Valley Drive, Oakhurst, CA 93644

Self-guided hiking trail. The two waterfalls bookending this trail make it a memorable trip. Corlieu Falls, downstream from the trailhead, is an 80 foot (25 meter) series of cascades in a narrow canyon. Red Rock Falls at about 20 feet (6 meters), but compensates in width and concentration of power. The trail to Red Rock Falls is also pleasant in a daydreamy-stroll-beside-a-stream sort of way. It proceeds beside Lewis Creek, which is framed by ferns and mossy rocks, and the trail itself is lined with evergreens and dogwoods. The shady environment produced by the timber and the canyon through which the creek flows give this hike a northwestern flavor, especially in the spring.

Yosemite Trails Horseback Adventures

7910 Jackson Road, Fish Camp, CA 93623

TAKE YOUR VACATION BY THE REINS. One and two hour horseback trail rides depart daily on exclusive trail ride to Grizzly Giant, one of the largest giant sequoias in the world. What better way to glimpse into Yosemite's past than visiting this 2000 year old redwood tree the way John Muir and Teddy Roosevelt did, on a good horse.

The Mist Trail

Yosemite, CA 95389

Beautiful hiking trail in Yosemite with a view of Vernal and Nevada waterfalls. This hiking trail is longer and more strenuous. See the link fo rmore information
