It was in the summer of 2020, we both had come back to Farrelli's for work and for most of that time we had only knew of each other through passing with occasional small talk. One of my friends/coworkers was going to throw me a party for my 21st birthday and I was interested in Drew enough to ask him one day during work if he was going to come. Drew shows up to my party before he has to work, makes another appearance afterwards and at some point throughout the night he had asked to take me out for a drink the next day. Pretty soon after that we had talked just about every single day and come October we would be dating!

Drew and I were headed to hike Mt. Storm King with some friends, Harry & Cheyenne, who we often backpack, hike, and snowboard with. Recently, our schedules have been so conflicting and when they said they wanted to go here and all our schedules aligned we were all for it. On the ride up, Cheyenne had mentioned that she had lost her fancy camera but found it while cleaning up one day and how excited she was to capture all the fall colors from this hike. Once we arrive to the summit we ate some lunch before going closer to the peak to take photos. Drew and I had done this hike around the same time in November of 2020. Drew had insisted I stand on the peak and look off into the horizon because he had supposedly wanted a picture similar to the one he took of me last time we had hiked here. I was very confused because I could not remember what photo he was referring to so I was asking questions making it a lot more complicated than it needed to be. It was not until Cheyenne had asked for a similar shot of me with her camera that I obliged. I turned around to ask if I was posing right and if the photo looked good when I noticed Drew was behind me on his knee asking me to marry him with the ring of my dreams. I frequently get asked if I knew he was going to ask but I had not a single clue, I was so in shock before saying yes, I asked him several times if he was pranking me. Of course after that is when I started putting together all the hints I had missed leading up to this exact moment. Drew had told me he wanted to ask me here because he had realized that November day in 2020, when we did this hike together he realized he loved me and wanted to tell me just that. And now we are here! About to go on another adventure! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
