Question

This is my first time at a Catholic Wedding or Mass. How should I act, what should I do?

Answer

Don't worry if this is your first time at a Catholic church or Catholic mass. We don't expect you to memorize responses or when to stand. Just look to those who know what they're doing and watch this short video on some simple etiquette: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w_SSRtCdUw

Question

What should we do during the two hour gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

New York is fantastic for spontaneous exploring and has effective public transportation. If you want, you can return to your hotel/ airbnb for a quick rest or touch-up. The famous San Gennaro festival should be happening and would be a great background for some fun photos and memories. Also feel free to get to Dumbo early to enjoy the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park and Manhattan skyline. We can recommend Harriet's Rooftop at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge for a drink with a nice view.

Question

Answer

For all the days along the way
