Juan and Ka'iulani met in 2014 attending their very first salsa class, which they both attended alone. After one of the first classes, Juan and Ka'iulani both left class at the same time and ended up walking together. After many classes, time went by and they ended up being each others go-to dance partner. Juan and Ka'iulani got to know each other by traveling and dancing. In 2016 they made their relationship official. As a couple, they traveled to different countries, learned new dances, moved around and now have become each other's life partner.
