Aloha family and friends Our adventure in this world together started January 2018 we met through tinder. It is untraditional I know but who knew that a simple swipe lead us to this beautiful moment! Our first date was at mililani theaters watching the movie Insidious the Last Key. As the story goes Christopher first seen Ka’iulani first as she was walking towards the movie theater he was blown away by her beauty. It was definitely love at first sight.
Boy, what a year of Events! We originally had plan a traditional wedding date with ceremony & reception to follow. But in the military world, things can change and well if the USA order you to deploy or change out stations you just Go! Chris who is with the Army's Black Hawk Helicopters Squadron, is stationing out of Schofield, Hawaii in July 2020. That changed our plans to have a traditional wedding day ceremony and reception to follow on the same day. See, for military spousal dependent to clear need to give 6 months so they can depart with active duty spouse on to the next station. Waiting to get married on June 28th would not be sufficient time for Ka'iu to leave with Chris in July. Thus...we are getting married November 10th, 2019 with just an small intimate group of family & friends ( So Ka'iu can clear military papers to leave with Chris in July 2020.) and a Formal Celebration of Marriage Reception on June 28th, 2020. A reception to celebrate our marriage! We leave Hawaii in July 2020 to our new home & adventure for 3 years to Fort Carson, Colorado. It's going to be a whirlwind year for us, but we look forward to our new life together with Hope, dreams, and excitement!
Aloha! I am Jo Fraticelli. Bride's Mother. It is an exciting, a bit stress but nevertheless an exciting time for our family. Ka'iulani is the baby and our one and only daughter. We knew that one day, our baby girl will one day fall in love and become a bride. And it's happening! When Chris & Ka'iu invited me & hubby to dinner and they told us they were going to get married, we were a bit surprised, and excited. I sort of knew our Ka'iu had found the love of her life. We saw how happy our Ka'iu has been the last year. Just the changes before our eyes. Our baby girl just grew into a woman who was in love. Of course, George, Ka'ius Dad took a bit adjustment to let go the hands of his baby girl to another man. But from what we saw in Chris...we were happy the man our Ka'iu loves. It took a Georgia boy all the way from the East coast to take the heart of our Hawaiian, Italian Baby Girl. At least Chris had some extra points from me when we first met him. He was from the home state of my ATLANTA FALCONS. So I am coordinating everything for Ka'iu and Chris wedding events. Even this website I found and set for them. We are the Hosting Family. As Ka'iu says, "Mom, better to not hire a wedding coordinator, as I don't think they will be able to handle you!" Oh, Ka'iu is so right. So here I am setting, coordinating all aspects. So much to do but I wouldn't change a thing. This is what we have been waiting for. Our baby girl's wedding. It has arrived. Excited, Happy and a bit sad as Ka'iu will be leaving us in July 2020 with Chris to their new home in Colorado. I know this will be a big adjustment to our Hawaii girl. She has never lived outside of Hawaii, and she is going to have to adjust to the cold weather. And though, we will be a bit worry for her, I know she will be alright. I know the Lord will take care of her. No matter how old she gets, and to our last breath, Our eyes will always see Ka'iulani as our baby girl. We have to let her fly to new dreams and beautiful places. A whole world is waiting for her and new paths of adventures await. But no matter where her wings take her, she will always be our baby girl. We will be here for her, for Chris should they need us.
