Mike and Kaity met on Hinge! They messaged back and forth for only a short time and found out they both used to frequent a local bar, the Golden Hoosier (previously South Town Pub). Kaity asked Mike to meet up at the bar on an insanely hot day in July. They talked mostly about work and their passion for helping children, and instantly learned they had quite a bit in common. Here's to way less sweat on our September Wedding day!

Mike planned a small trip to Eckerts Farm in Belleville, IL for a Friday evening after work. After arriving there, Kaity didn't ask any questions when Mike spontaneously decided to go to the blackberry fields instead of the peaches as planned. She had also gotten her nails done and was dressed up…you can't hide anything from Kaity. It was just as hot as the July day they met the previous summer. After riding the tractor out to the blackberry fields, Mike confessed to Kaity that he has never felt more sure about anything, and she agreed to marry him! Mikes brother and sister-in-law secretly flew in to town and filmed the whole thing. Harley (Kaity’s dog) also was in attendance. The final surprise of the evening was when they made their way back to the Cider Shed and celebrated with family and friends!
