Kaitrin and Jake met through mutual friends at the end of college at the University of Minnesota. Even though Kaitrin left for grad school in Nebraska a few months later, they kept in contact and saw each other when she visited Minnesota. One great memory from their early days of dating, Jake took Kaitrin on an unforgettable date to a Pittsburgh Penguins - Minnesota Wild hockey game and surprised her with rink side tickets. They officially started dating January 2020 and are excited to start their next chapter together.

Jake proposed to Kaitrin during a weekend up north at the cabin, a place they both love to spend time during the summer. It was a picture perfect evening on the dock at sunset, Jake pulled out the ring, and Kaitrin said yes to forever. The moment was sweeter as some family and close friends were there to celebrate.
