The Beginning

Our Story It all began on a chilly winter night—January 14, 2018. For some reason, we decided that ice cream was a great idea (even in freezing weather), so we wandered out to find some. Our first stop: Dairy Queen. It was, of course, closed. So we pivoted and tried Starbucks—also closed. But none of that mattered. That night turned into something magical. We ended up just driving around, talking, laughing, and jamming out to "The Best Song Ever." There was something about that night—so simple, so spontaneous, so perfect. It felt like the start of something really special. From that moment on, we spent almost every day together, doing the most random, wonderful things—just enjoying being with each other. Then, on February 14—Valentine’s Day—he asked me to be his girlfriend, with the most adorable teddy bear in hand. That sweet gesture started a tradition: every year since, I’ve gotten a new stuffed animal to mark another year of love, laughter, and memories. Let’s just say, the collection is getting pretty impressive. And now… here we are—about to start a whole new chapter, surrounded by the people we love most

The Proposal

8/2/25

Being his spontaneous self, Mason decided he wanted to take one last trip up north to Manistee, Michigan before heading back to Kansas. It’s one of our favorite places in the world—somewhere that holds so many special memories for us. We planned a final getaway with our closest friends, just to soak in the beauty, laughter, and one more “hoorah” together. What I didn’t know was that something even more unforgettable was about to happen. One morning, while my friend and I were making breakfast for the group, the boys quietly snuck away to the beach. Hours later, Kyse, Sam, Ivy, and I headed down there too… and that’s when I saw him. There was Mason—standing on a beautiful white blanket, holding white roses, with a candlelit path leading all the way up to him. The waves were crashing gently into the shore, the breeze was soft and perfect, and for a moment, everything around us just stood still. I walked down the path with my heart racing and stepped onto the blanket. Mason was so nervous—it was absolutely beautiful. And then, right there in one of our favorite places, he asked me to marry him. It was more than I ever dreamed of—an unforgettable moment in the most magical setting, surrounded by love, friendship, and the man I can’t wait to spend forever with.
