The way we met is a little silly, but still cute. I was working as a cashier at Rural King, a little farm store in town, on the night of December 6th I was working like I normally would, just scanning and bagging items not really paying any attention to who was coming through my line until a young gentlemen comes up only to purchase a drink. We locked eyes and it was like magic I could feel butterflies in my stomach and I could tell he felt the same way. He slowly worked up the courage to ask me for my number, which I of course gave to him. Later that evening, he messaged me asking me to coffee and I instantly replied and said yes. My next day off we met for coffee and it was love at first sight. We sat and talked , laughed, cried for hours. It was so natural, so pure. From that moment on we both knew we couldn't be apart, and the rest is history.

The way Dakota proposed was like a dream come true to for me. We were on our first family trip together to Arizona for Christmas to see my family. I was so exited that he was going to be able to meet the rest of my family, but little did I know the my mother and him were going to make it even more exciting. Apparently they had been planning it for months without me knowing. We spent a week in Arizona, enjoying seeing family, then Christmas Eve was apon us. My mother told me that we were going to be doing family pictures before dinner, so I needed to look my best. I spent most of the day thinking we were just taking pictures and they wanted Dakota to be apart of it. A little while before dinner time my mom said that my sister and I had to go on a little scavenger hunt while everyone was distracted ( aka getting me away from the house). So we went on this little scavenger hunt all through town going to places that really only I knew of ( they hid the hints during the day while I was getting ready) . As we found the last hint at the shrine it directed us back to the house. When we arrived back at the house and there was a path of rose petals leading to the back yard, my sister insisted that I go read my hint first and this one said " Find the bulb with the color that represents love "so of course I think RED. There was a cute little Christmas tree sitting there, so I searched and searched for this bulb. I finally find it, and it says " Will you marry me ?" I turn around there is Dakota on one knee. I completely froze so he had to come to me, but of course I said " YES". The End
