We're getting married!

We met while working in a warehouse for an interior design company. KaitLynn took a step away from nursing for a while and Aaron moved back from Flagstaff when the restaurant he helped start got shut down due to COVID. It's safe to say, neither of us were really supposed to be there. Although neither one of us spoke about it to the other, we were both curious of the other person. After a few weeks, the acquaintanceship turned into a relationship when Aaron surprised KaitLynn with a kiss on New Year's Eve watching a fireworks show. KaitLynn still calls it a fairytale start.

We went on a trip to Washington for Aaron's birthday and KaitLynn had a ton of surprises planned for him. Little did she know, Aaron had a way bigger surprise for her. We woke up and decided to go on a morning walk in our jammies like we usually do. Along the walk it started to drizzle so KaitLynn suggested that we walk back home, but Aaron insisted we kept going to find a "lake". Confused, KaitLynn replied, "I don't think there is a lake in the middle of my parent's neighborhood." Ever persistent, Aaron told KaitLynn to come look at the small lake he found among the trees. KaitLynn was thoroughly confused as to why Aaron was so enthralled with this tiny stagnant pond he was trying to pass off as a lake. However, when she got to him she was surprised to see he was in a perfect open space surrounded by tall pine trees. The drizzle had turned into a full on rain at this point. Soaking wet, Aaron told her he got her something, and pulled out a tiny green leather bound book. KaitLynn was annoyed Aaron got HER something during HIS birthday weekend, but then she opened the book. Inside sat a perfect diamond ring. He knelt down in the mud and asked, "Will you marry me?"
