We are getting married!

Our love story began in the summer of 2016. Tyler had just accepted a management position at Dairy Queen and Kait had just accepted her first job, also at Dairy Queen. They worked a few shifts together and shortly after, Kait developed heart-eyes for not only an older boy, but also a manager at her first job... uh-oh! Little did she know, Tyler felt the same. Kait went on and on about how sweet and cute Tyler was to her friends, who also happened to be her coworkers. Little did Kait know, one of those friends/coworkers had a sneaky plan to tell Tyler about her little crush. Well, I'm sure you can guess how the rest of the story went down. Kait's secret crush had gotten back to Tyler, who then proceeded to text Kait and ask if she wanted to go on a date. As I'm sure you can imagine, Kait was on the other side of that text message absolutely freaking out! Of course, she accepted and they went on a few dates before Tyler decided to take Kait on a surprise trip to Disneyland to pop the big question! On August 8th, 2016, under a very special lamppost on main street, Tyler asked Kait to be his girlfriend and the rest is history! August 8th will always be a very special date to us. Not only was it the day Tyler asked Kait to be his girlfriend, but 5 years later, it was the day he asked her to be his wife! Our love story will always be our favorite and we are so excited to share our special day with you all!

On August 8th, 2021, Tyler and Kait celebrated their 5th anniversary together. Little did Kait know, Tyler had been planning the most thoughtful and beautiful proposal for months leading up. Kait could not believe everyone had kept this secret from her for so long! We spent the weekend in San Diego where we had celebrated many other anniversaries before. On Saturday, we spent the day at the pool and ended it with a nice dinner in Gaslamp. On Sunday, Tyler told Kait he had a beach picnic prepared for us in Coronado. When we arrived, Tyler seemed a bit nervous which made Kait question what was really going on but nothing could have prepared her for the most amazing shock she experienced once they got to their picnic setup. It was on the perfect little spot on the beach with beautiful decor and champagne. Tyler told Kait to turn around and that he had a surprise for her. I am sure you can imagine what happened next! Tyler delivered a sweet speech on one knee followed by a "will you marry me?" holding the most perfect ring, which Kait proceeded with a very enthusiastic "YES!". Completely overwhelmed with shock and the most heartfelt love was the only way to describe Kait's feelings. She was certain she would know when the proposal was coming but Tyler really threw her for a loop! But wait - there's more and it gets better. Behind Tyler, was both of our families running toward us in excitement! We hugged, cried, and jumped for joy - all while a secret photographer captured every moment. So many thoughtful details and love went into this proposal from not only Tyler, but also our wonderful family and friends. We ended the day with the most dreamy engagement party. It was the sweetest memory that will last a lifetime. Tyler amazes Kait everyday but his perfectly planned proposal will always be one of the most amazing moments we've shared together.
