We both attended Central Michigan University as music majors where we met while in the same Brass Techniques class. This class was incredibly uninteresting and happened every day at 8 am and when we both actually showed up we spent more time making jokes than actually paying attention. This would lead to an instant connection which developed into a unique friendship eventually leading to a loving partnership. Traveling around Michigan and having adventures is one of our favorite activities to do with each other. Specifically, exploring the many breweries Michigan has to offer! Hence, why our centerpieces will feature a different growler from our favorite stops and a little bit of information about the city!

The proposal was absolutely perfect. We have a big family trip every year to Kaitlyn’s cabin in Gaylord and we usually go golfing once with a large group. Sean had planned to propose on the course which has one of Kaitlyn’s favorite spots in Michigan, however it ended up raining most of the morning and most of the day. So, Sean was a little stressed out that morning, lol. :) He left for part of the morning to go with the guys into town. I had no idea that a proposal was even coming, so I had a slow morning. My cousins and I did a group workout and he was so stressed out he kept telling me to go shower before he got home and I was so confused! He finally came back and it started to rain harder, so I asked him to come help me fix the tent so it wouldn’t leak. Instead, he asks me to follow him to grab his golf bag. Of course I am worried about our belongings and confused, because we obviously weren’t going to golf. He takes me to the front of the driveway, takes the ring out of his bag, gets down on one knee and tells me the story of when he knew the moment he wanted to marry me. It couldn’t have been more perfect because he knew how much I wanted to celebrate with my family. The rest of the night was a huge party and it was absolutely perfect. :)
