My cousin Peter convinced me to download TikTok to pass the time during the pandemic and little did I know, that one download, would lead me to the man I prayed for my entire life. I had just closed on and moved into my first home, scrolling TikTok on the couch when I should have been unpacking when I came across Sean's video essentially "pimping out" Scott. My very first thought: "wow, he has such soft eyes." It didn't take me long to search his name on Instagram, creep a little bit to make sure he was normal and follow him. Twenty four hours later, I had a follow back and a DM. We went back and forth on Instagram for a day before he asked for my number and a Facetime Coffee date (which never happened...I'll let Scott tell that side of the story ;P ) and we began talking on the phone. 2-3 hour phone calls every night lead to Scott asking if he could come to Buffalo to take me on a "real date"...to which I quickly responded, "No, I will come there," because I needed control over the situation (lol) and couldn't let my family and friends get too excited just yet. The nerves began to set in and I began telling myself, "if Uncle Billy will get me a flight, then I'll go, If Christina will watch Remy, then I'll go. If I can reschedule this appointment, then I'll go." Well, Uncle Billy did help me with a flight "to go spend Mardi Gras with my friend Amanda in New Orleans" (sorry for lying to you Uncle Billy!), my mom came over to watch Remy and keep my secret of flying to meet a boy I met online & doors kept opening allowing this trip to happen. Something in my gut kept telling me I had to go meet this man....and February 12th, 2021...I did.

There I was, sitting at my desk minding my own business. I wasn't necessarily looking for a relationship. At this point in my life, I was ready to meet someone but also completely okay with being single for a while. I was happy to find myself in this place in life – content What happened next should be an actual movie...the whole thing just "came easy." Nothing was ever forced, and there was never any pressure. I think that is one of the most beautiful parts about our story. So, sitting at my desk, Sean barges in the office with his phone making me a part of his next viral TikTok video. Unannounced and without my permission, he ended up posting that video - as Kate would call it "pimping me out," and for the next few hours I received hundreds of comments & friend requests. Sean did it...he made it go viral! I wasn't exactly thrilled to be in this position, but it was nice to get some attention, I'm not going to lie. That day something caught my eye more than anything else...I was added on Instagram by a beautiful blonde from Buffalo. I thought to myself, this has to be because of Sean's video (we had no mutual friends & her account was private). When I tell you something "pulled me in,'' that is a complete understatement. The gravitational pull was REAL, and I was experiencing a fire inside for this girl that I had never felt before. My first "DM" led to me asking for her number and setting up our first virtual coffee date. I actually missed that date because I was so nervous (foolish). Her response though, made me want to know her EVEN MORE! She kindly let me know that if I was not going to make her a priority, then I had no chance in heck to be in her life going forward. And let me tell you, that didn't sit well with me. One thing led to the next & she was on a plane visiting me in NOLA only 11 days after that first DM. God opened door after door & allowed for our crazy lives to be merged into one very quickly. It was love at "first meet." It was perfect.
