Our story:

Some could call this an arranged marriage… Ryan had worked with my uncles for years, and my aunts had been telling me about this cute, handsome, tall, single man. Of course, I would never let my family set me up (even if I really could’ve used the help). So, unbeknownst to me, they took matters into their own hands and invited him on a family vacation. Yes — you read that right. We all met at Lake Hartwell for a country music concert (Kid Rock, to be exact). Ryan introduced himself, but after a 28-hour call shift, I wasn’t exactly impressed — purely out of spite for my family’s blatant invasion of privacy. After some encouragement from my best friend and uncle, we decided to go to the concert anyway… which was tragically cut short by a summer downpour. This sweet man, who insisted on escorting us back to our car, somehow knew the way to my heart without even trying: he asked if we wanted Taco Bell on the way home. There’s even a video from that night where I turn to my friend and say, “I think I might like him…” & well... the rest is history. After that weekend, we talked on the phone every day for hours and hours. I had just started residency and was working like a madwoman, but he didn’t mind. He drove from TN to SC every. single. weekend — even if I was only free for 12 hours. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. Although, I did choose to hide this from my family for a while, because I couldn't give them the satisfaction that they knew exactly what they were doing. If you want Ryan’s side of the story, well you’ll have to ask him — at our wedding! on October 3, 2026. We could not be more excited to celebrate our love with each and every one of you.
