Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For our wedding we ask that you please wear formal attire. Floor length dresses and suits are heavily encouraged! Any color you wear will look stunning (besides white of course) but please keep in mind it will be mid-June in Charleston so we recommend lighter colors. The bridal party will be in pastel yellow, so we ask you keep that in mind as well.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at 5:15 p.m. to ensure you are seated comfortably for the ceremony. With the large bridal party we have, we need time for the ushers to get in line for the processional.

Do I have a plus one included with my invitation?

Answer

While we would love your guest, we are trying to keep our wedding as intimate as possible for our special day! Unless your guest's name is also featured on your invitation we will not be accepting plus ones.

Will there be children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

We want our guests to relax and enjoy themselves when celebrating on this happy occasion. Unless they are a member of the wedding party, we are not allowing children at our wedding. We thank you for your understanding.

Can I take photo/video of the ceremony?

Answer

We are holding an unplugged ceremony to prevent any interruptions during our union. We have a wonderful videographer and photographer that will be capturing these moments and would be happy to share them with you!

Where will the bride and grooms' families be staying?

Answer

The brides parents (Kenton & Lesley) will have a hospitality suite for socialization at the blocked hotel. The groom's parents (Thomas & Rita) will be staying in Preston's grandparents house nearby (ask for address) and will also have space for socialization.

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

We are having our reception outdoors, even if it rains. If it does rain, umbrellas will be provided and our reception is under a covered tent. We have other rain contingencies in place as well to ensure the day is still seamless for us and our guests!

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

We will have a shuttle running from the blocked hotel to the venue before and after the wedding. It will be picking guests up at 4:30 & 5:00 p.m. In addition it will also be traveling back after the reception beginning at 10:00 p.m. and the last shuttle will depart at 11:00 p.m. back to the blocked hotel.

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

While there is parking at the venue, it is strongly discouraged as we want to ensure all of our guests leave safely. This is a very celebratory event, so we recommend riding on one of the shuttles we will provide, or Ubering/Lyfting.

Question

Do I have to stay at the blocked hotel?

Answer

While it is highly encouraged, as that is where the shuttles will run from, it is not necessary. We have blocked an entire boutique hotel with 50 rooms in downtown, super fun. But due to the limited spots, we will also be providing recommended hotels nearby.
