When Mike moved back to the city post COVID height, they made the most of every Saturday together. That also meant finding places like District Brew Yards to spend 6+ hours talking about all the things (literally EVERYTHING) and getting amazing BBQ and trying 30+ different beers. We recommend hopping in here before the ceremony for a couple brews and walking to the venue, 2 blocks away.
A Chicago Diner Classic. For many years, this was a Mike and Jim Friday morning ritual. Finally, after 3 years of dating, Mike decided that Kaitlyn was worthy enough to be introduced into this experience.
One of Mike and Kaitlyn's go-to Saturday dates is to walk up to Antique Taco and grab some tacos (Kaitlyn always gets the Scout Tacos, which are for children but still amazing) and also split a pitcher of Margs before finding another activity to spend time together.
If you're looking for solid breakfast (and a free brunch cocktail!) hit up The Smith.
A great dinner option before you come to our Welcome Event!
A great option to have dinner at before our Welcome Event on Friday!
This is a Kaitlyn / Mike staple. We came here so much we've seen the bartender blossom into the main manager. And it might be June, but the burgers and vibe are good year round. Warning: this is a PG-13 spot, sometimes rated R based on the content they put up on the screen. Nevertheless, the staff is dope, the beer list is vast, and the food always hits.
This is an iconic summer Mike/Kaitilyn date. We recommend going early in the day, taking in the views and then walking the river walk after.
Looking to get some dart practice in? Mike and Kaitlyn come to Flight Club for a quick bite and some bomb drinks.
