We're Getting married!

Kaitlyn and Michael met through a mutual friend, Tyler Perkins (the wedding officiant!). Tyler is a family friend to Kaitlyn and a coworker/mentor to Michael. One day at work, Tyler and Michael were talking about relationships. Tyler turned to Michael and said "How would you feel about dating someone a little taller than you?" Michaels response "Let's fire it up!" Michael then added Kaitlyn on Instagram and they messaged back and forth for about two weeks until their first date. Their first date was at the Happy Hour Saloon where they got to know each other better over some vodka sodas.

Michael got his brother (Ryan) and future sister-in-law (Brenna) involved in a secret plan up to Lake Arrowhead. Brenna asked Kaitlyn if she would want to go to the mountains when they were home for Christmas. Kaitlyn was towards the end of a nursing school semester, so stressed out Kaitlyn's answer was, "Maybe! I have so much going on but I will let you know." Somehow they got Kaitlyn up to the mountains, most likely by the sound of crisp mountain beer. After sipping on some brews, Brenna suggested they go take photos by the lake. Moments before snapping a photo, Michael says to Kaitlyn "Hey look at that bird." Kaitlyn looks to her right, sees no bird, and looks back at Michael to say "what bird?" But when Kaitlyn turned around Michael was down on one knee asking Kaitlyn to spend the rest of their lives together! We are so excited to celebrate with you! See you soon!
