FAQs

Question

“Where are you registered?”

Answer

We have our registry through Zola for the sake of convenience. That way you can add things from any store. You should be able to click on the menu for this website, and the registry will pop up.

Question

“Why such a small ceremony?”

Answer

Large ceremonies are large money. We would like to do a larger ceremony in a few years in Scotland, when we can be financially comfortable while doing so.

Question

“Can we buy the gift and bring it to the reception?”

Answer

Whatever you feel comfortable doing is fine

Question

“Who is welcome at the after party?”

Answer

Anyone at all! There isn’t room for everyone to sleep over, but there should be enough room to relax and celebrate, and there are hotels very nearby.”

Question

“Why BYOB instead of a cash bar?”

Answer

In that area of Indiana, even a cash bar starts at 1k and that’s without providing the liquor, beer or wine. We were not comfortable with that. We can bring our own as the venue is a vacation rental, and not a public building.

Question

“What catering options are there?”

Answer

We are doing Olive Garden catering, a make your own pasta bar. That comes with two choices of sauce, meatballs or grilled chicken, and of course their famous salad and breadsticks.

Question

“Does the ceremony start right at 3:30?”

Answer

Yes right about 3:30, if you want to make sure not to be there late then feel free to come a bit early.

Question

“Rules on phones/photography?”

Answer

No rules, we are hoping you take pictures actually so no worries about that. Be sure to have your sound off during the ceremony, but feel free to have your phone.

Question

“May I bring outside food?”

Answer

Absolutely. Feel free, if you have dietary restrictions or allergies there’s no need to go hungry or feel like you’re going to offend someone. I’m sure we would even have space for Tupperware in the fridge. Having you celebrate with us is more important than forcing yourself through a meal you don’t want/can’t eat.
