We technically met on Kaitlyn’s first day of work back in early 2018 — but looking back, it’s wild that we hadn’t crossed paths sooner. We went to brother and sister schools, had mutual friends, even ended up at the same parties… and yet somehow never officially met. Until that day at work. Kaitlyn remembers thinking, How have I never met this guy? Mason was funny, witty, a little silly — but underneath that, she could tell he had this really caring, genuine side she was immediately drawn to. Even though she was with someone else at the time, she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something different about him. Mason noticed her right away too — how easily she connected with everyone in the room, how natural and funny and kind she was, whether it was at work or just chatting with friends. Oh, and yes… he also thought she was very attractive. We stayed friends for a while. Life took us in different directions — Kaitlyn even moved away for a year — but in late 2020, we ran into each other at a bar. One conversation in and it was like no time had passed. Not long after that came the night out, a few drinks, and our first official date… at a sushi train. (Fun fact: Mason let Kaitlyn pay. True gentleman.) We told ourselves we’d take it slow. But six months later we moved in together. One week after our first anniversary, we bought our first home. Then came two cats and a dog - our perfect little family. In January 2025, Mason proposed in snowy Grindelwald, Switzerland — a literal fairytale moment, and the start of the next chapter in our not-so-slow love story.
