Kaitlyn and I first met back in 2015. We decided to both take a chance on meeting each other after a year of being friends. We were very nervous to met each other but worked up enough courage to finally go on a date. I can still remember to this day, the first time I met Kaitlyn in person. She was so beautiful, sweet and caring. As the night progressed and through our conversation we had over dinner, I realized how smart, funny, caring & driven she was. I can honestly say when I left the date and was driving home, I thought to myself how lucky I was to have spent the evening with such an amazing woman. Over the next few years of us dating, I got to spend time with her family and friends. I understood why she was such a special woman! On January 25th, 2018 I had a special day planned for Kaitlyn and I. One thing we love to do together is go snowboarding in Tahoe, Ca. Little did Kaitlyn know, I had been planning this trip for a while. I wanted to ask her the most important question of my life, if she would marry me and spend the rest of her life being husband & wife. After a few times snowboarding down the mountains, we took a lift to the top and as we got off my heart was pounding. We sat to the side of the trail to rest for a moment. I unhooked my snowboard, got down on one knee and reached in my pocket for the ring. I look into Kaitlyn's eyes and ask her the question I had always wanted to ask her, would she be wife. Kaitlyn was so shocked and happy she never really gave me an answer, LOL, she just nodded. We sealed the special moment with a kiss, I took my snow googles off and she kept hers on LOL. We both knew we had finally found what we had been searching for our whole lives, true love. That was the best day of my life, I love you Kaitlyn Atkins with all my heart & sole!
