Matron of Honor
She wanted a little sister and got one! She even got to name her. Courtney is the most supportive sister, through the good & bad and continues to be the greatest role model to Kaitlyn. They talk daily and because of Courtney, she has made Kaitlyn (KiKi) the happiest auntie ever to Titus Jett Terrell. When considering their move to Colorado, it was made a little easier for Kaitlyn and Lance knowing they would be a quick plane ride to Dallas to visit. As Kaitlyn stood next to Courtney on her special day, Courtney will do the same.
Best Man
Lance has known Kyle for his entire life, such is the way when being the younger sibling. While growing up it was very easy to see that they were related, and it was not ONLY because of the noses, though now that may be the only factor left. In '96 they moved to Colorado from Utah they quickly became fans of the new (at the time) Colorado Avalanche. Almost 19 years later Lance helped Kyle and his family in another moved from Utah to Colorado, where Kyle's kids have become fast fans of the same Hockey team. Four years later, Kyle was able to return the favor and helped Lance and Kaitlyn with their cross country move back to the Mile High City where Kaitlyn (also a fan now) will join the family.
Bridesmaid
Jen has become more than my future sister in law, she has given me all the pointers on dealing with the Simmons boys! She loves the Colorado Avalanche equally, if not more than me. Thanks to our crazy Simmons boys and the lockdown that was in place due to COVID, we have become more active gamers and look forward to creating chaos during our weekly "Horde" match, playing Gears of War. There are too many memories created playing Gears for us to coherently recall.
Groomsman
Mike was working at the company Lance joined a few years ago, they quickly became friends by discussing not just work but sports interests. Both played Lacrosse and enjoyed watching hockey, football, soccer, etc. but it also turned out that both had the same two favorite hockey teams, and it is good they only meet twice a year (unless it is for the cup!) as they don't agree on who they want to win in the head-to-head. Over the course of working with one another, Mike and Lance, have developed a team dynamic which works together and travels often. Working closely on projects across the country, the camaraderie developed to become a supportive and respectful friendship talking about life's up's and down's.
Bridesmaid
Although Loren can not recall, Kaitlyn has been in her life since she was a week old. Loren is the daughter of Kaitlyn's golf coach, David Russell, who ultimately decided to take care of a 3 month old verse playing golf. From 3 months till 3 years old, Kaitlyn was Loren's "Nanny" who went through all the trials and tribulations of a newborn (diaper rash, crawling, teething, & walking) but wouldn't trade any of it for these moments with her. As Kaitlyn witnessed Loren take her first steps, Loren will walk down the aisle and standby Kaitlyn's side as she says I do.
Ring Bearer
Everett is Lance's nephew with, an often times, fun personality. He loves to watch and attend hockey games, he has also been working to learn to ice skate in hopes of turning his love of hockey into an activity. Currently Everett participates in soccer where he gets to try out different positions becoming the most recent Simmons to put on the goalie gloves. His soccer games give the family a chance to get together outside, which is a nice change of pace in the current 'Home-all-the-time' lifestyle.
Bridesmaid
When Kaitlyn and Addison met, it was an immediate connection. They identified similar interests such as hockey, board games and most recently, make-up. As the years of Kaitlyn and Lance dating wore on, Addison would frequently ask Kaitlyn when she would become her aunt. Well her question was finally answered on December 30th, 2019 when she witnessed her Uncle Lance propose. Addison will stand next to her future aunt on November 14th to witness her uncle marry Kaitlyn.
Ring Bearer
Titus is Kaitlyn's nephew but he likes to call her KiKi. He is the son of Kaitlyn's sister, Courtney, and Brother-In-Law, TJ. Titus holds a huge part in Kaitlyn's heart and whenever she has a chance to take a long weekend, Kaitlyn is on the first flight possible to Dallas to see him and get lots of cuddles with her favorite little man.
Maid of Honor
She came into Kaitlyn's life in High School, LPHS! Loyal Key Club members and Swan Point girls who grew closer and closer thanks to many walks around the golf course. However, their bond grew closer when they moved to Miami, FL for college where they were working on their tans and sharing a home. Although over 2,000 miles separates them, their friendship is a bond that can't be broken. Due to COVID restrictions, Priscilla won't be able to attend in person, however, she will be with us in our hearts.
