We're Getting Married

It’s crazy to think about how many times you cross paths with someone throughout your lifetime. For Korbin and me, our story goes way back. Korbin’s grandpa, Kent Scroggins, trained my dad, Casey Snyder, when he first received his paramedic license. But it doesn’t stop there—my dad later went on to train Korbin’s dad, Will Scroggins, when he earned his paramedic license. Eventually, they all worked together at Lifestar. You would think that with all those connections, Korbin and I would have met sooner; however, that wasn’t the case. Korbin and I went on our first date on May 3, 2024, at Roasters. We talked for about two hours and ended the night with a very awkward goodbye... (he didn’t even give me a hug!). After that, we went on a few more dates, and on June 1, 2024, he asked me to be his girlfriend. We knew from the beginning that there was something incredibly special about our relationship. It just clicked. We knew we were going to be not only best friends, but soulmates. Over the past year, we’ve laughed a lot, had some tough days, cried together, and leaned into our faith. Through it all, we’ve trusted God with our relationship and His plans for us. March 23, 2025, was a very bittersweet day for many reasons—it was the day Korbin proposed. He had a big, elaborate plan for the following month, but he said he simply couldn’t wait any longer. From that day forward, we’ve spent every moment growing our relationship and dreaming about the future. We know there will be highs and lows, but we place our faith in God and trust that, at the end of the day, “forever and always” will be our promise.
