Flight
Napoli Capodichino International Airport (NAP) is the closest airport to Positano located about 1h30 away by car. Alternatively, you can fly into Roma Ciampino (CIA) located about 3h30 away or Roma Fiumicino (FCO) about 4 hours away, which are the easier options for direct connections to the US.
Train
For those flying in to Rome, we recommend the high speed train to Salerno (1.5 hrs.) followed by either a taxi (1hr.) or a ferry (1.5 hrs.) to Positano. We've heard the train is an easy and luxurious way to journey and will be trying this option ourselves!

Rental Car
Whilst you can easily find rental car companies once arriving to the airport - all of the big ones are there (Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt,..), we do not encourage renting a car or scooter to reach the Amalfi Coast: roads are narrow and winding, parking spaces are extremely difficult to find and it ends up not being a practical option. Just ask Kiril, we have some great stories about our drive through Amalfi coast. :) Instead, many restaurants & tours include free pick up at your location, when making bookings make sure you check if it's included (and book a table with sea view)!
House Or Rental
Positano is a gorgeous small town filled with small apartments & unique accommodation options, in addition to the hotel we suggested we do recommend to have a look at what Airbnb has to offer!
