The two of us met while going to college at USD, but a year or so passed before we actually started dating. Kaitlyn was a sophomore Pi Phi and Keaton a senior SAE when their sorority and fraternity got paired up for the annual Strollers Show. Keaton directed their group and Kaitlyn was in the cast. Once Keaton finished his senior spring semester, he moved to Arizona for the summer and spent every day of those three months talking with Kaitlyn until he moved back to South Dakota in the fall. They were both nervous to meet up again in person after just talking on the phone over the summer, but those anxious feelings disappeared as soon as they hung out. A few months later they started officially dating!

After doing long-distance between Sioux Falls and Vermillion for a few years, Keaton asked Kaitlyn to marry him during a trip to Arizona. Of course, she said yes! In May Kaitlyn packed her bags (and a car full of clothes!) and made the cross-country drive to join Keaton in Phoenix. Together they've built a life they love in Arizona. Kaitlyn teaches her class of sweet second-graders and Keaton works at JP Morgan Chase. After work and on the weekends they love hanging with their French Bulldog puppy, Rex, going to concerts, and enjoying time with friends and family.
