We were two people who never truly believed we deserved love. After difficult pasts and a lot of heartbreak, neither of us expected what would happen next. But the moment we met, everything changed. The connection was instant—bonding over endless laughs, crazy stories, the love we both shared for our daughters, and the shared hope of finally having the love we always knew we deserved for us and our daughters. Our first date was at Dwyer’s, sharing Kaitlyn’s favorite mix beer and wings (she’s a cheap date 😂), and from that night on, the memories just kept coming. Bills games that required walking down the crazy hill behind the Wings parking lot, Festival of Lights, dinner dates, Sabres games, and so many fun, unforgettable moments in between. This love was unlike anything either of us had ever experienced before. It felt easy, safe, and real. We knew pretty quickly that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. On November 7th, 2025, surrounded by the Navy ships downtown and our love for each other, Joe asked Kaitlyn to be his forever—and she said yes. ❤️
