Her View: As anyone who has met on a dating app can probably tell you, it's rough out there. So when I saw someone cute who happened to have graduated from the same tiny university I swiped right (thanks, Reinhardt!). Our first date in Marietta square was on a beautiful July day. After lunch we drank boba tea and sat in the park for nearly 2 hours talking about everything from our favorite colors to our Spotify playlists. By the end of the date I felt pretty strongly that this was something good! That is, until he walked me to my car and fist bumped me goodbye. Somewhat bummed, that we would probably only be good friends, I left the date feeling happy to have met a sweet man. When we met up again later that week and he hugged me, I knew we were moving in the right direction. By the time we hit our 3rd date, he was making multiple dates at once and I was pretty sure he wasn't leaving my side any time soon. 3 years later, and I was right :) His View: After a bit of back and forth over Hinge, I built up the courage to ask this gorgeous beaut on a date to Taqueria Tsunami at the Marietta Square. As we sat by the fountain discussing our hobbies, interests and funny stories, I had an ever growing felling of "how do I not screw this up?". Several hours pass by in what feels like an few minutes and the inevitable end to our first date is close. As I walk her to her car all I'm thinking is "Do I go in for a kiss? Hug? Both?". My brain farts and goes in for a fist bump? As I walk away devastated, thinking I destroyed any interest she had in me, I knew the only way to fix it was to set up another date immediately to make my intentions clear. 2 dates turned to 3 and soon we were spending all of our time together. I couldn't wait to hear her sweet voice every night we spoke on the phone, or to hear her giggle at my stupid jokes. And now I can't wait to be her husband and for her to be my wife.
