Kaitlyn and Gage like to say they moved in together before they ever met. As incoming freshmen at the University of Florida, they both lived in Cypress Hall on the southwest corner of campus. They still debate the exact moment they first met, but they know it was sometime in September 2018. That fall, Kaitlyn was busy rushing a sorority and Gage was rushing a fraternity, so it was only a matter of time before their paths crossed. Kaitlyn had firmly decided she would not have a boyfriend in college. Gage changed that plan in January 2019. Throughout college, they spent more and more time together at campus events, in similar classes and majors, and through their involvement in Dance Marathon at the University of Florida. Many of you generously supported their fundraising efforts, and they are still so grateful for that. What started as shared experiences soon became a shared life and a deep love for one another. After graduating in 2022, Gage moved home to Clermont to begin working, while Kaitlyn stayed in Gainesville for another year to earn her master’s degree. The following year brought new adventures and new challenges. Gage moved to St. Petersburg to begin law school, and Kaitlyn started her career as a CPA in Washington, D.C. They made long distance work, counting down the days until they could be in the same place again. Not long after, Kaitlyn made the move back to Florida, and the two began their life together in St. Petersburg. In June 2025, Gage proposed in New York City, marking the beginning of their next chapter. From Cypress Hall to New York City, their story has been full of faith, laughter, and a lot of miles. They cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
