Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We request that you please wear formal attire. For men, a suit or tuxedo of any color is appropriate. For women, an ankle or floor length formal gown is suitable. The ceremony will take place in a Catholic Church, so we ask that you please be mindful of your attire during Mass to respect the traditions of the church. In our experience, the church runs very cold, so a shawl or sweater during mass is recommended for warmth as well! We look forward to seeing you dressed in your best!

Question

Are my children welcome?

Answer

We love you and your family and are delighted to have all of you join our special day. With that being said, you know your children best. Please use your best judgement in deciding whether or not your children will behave appropriately and respectfully at a formal event. If you are traveling and need help finding childcare, we are happy to assist in finding safe and reliable childcare in the area!

Question

What should we do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There are many great restaurants, bars, and even activities in Old Overland Park and along Metcalf! Please see our "Things To Do" page for some of our favorite recommendations!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We have made an intentional effort to include all partners as of January '26. If your invitation lists "and guest", you are more than welcome to bring a plus one. If your invitation does not include a plus one and you feel that a mistake was made on our end, please feel free to reach out to one of us and we will make our best effort to accommodate your partner or dependent. Please refrain from inviting additional guests without first confirming with Ned and Katie. Thank you for your understanding!
