Amber is a dancer at Grand Canyon University (go lopes) In Phoenix Arizona! One of Kaitlyn’s favorite memories with amber is their trips to California, and going to the movies in Tucker, Georgia! Kaitlyn is blessed to have Amber stand by her side on the second most important decision of Kaitlyn’s life! Second to Accepting Jesus Christ as Kaitlyn’s savior.

Road trips and intramural teams, late nights on the coast of Darien, CT with cigars and a beer, he has a special ability to mark a moment as a memory forever. He will jump out of a car on mile 25 of a marathon and run the last mile with you on a 32-degree day…the guy is special.

Riley was the first person I met in Dallas and a shared love of the state of Oklahoma and golf set us up right for a good friendship. Walking through grad school with him as a peer, but more importantly a brother in Christ, has been a God send in Dallas. Bible study, rounds of golf, cups of coffee, and test after test after test, he has been an instrumental part in my continued growth when at times I felt stagnant in my faith and my relationships. He challenges those around him and elevates the way we continue to pursue the Lord. He and his wife Bri are so special to us and such an incredible example of God’s love.

Robbie has always been one of my favorite parts of coming back for the holidays since leaving home. Having watched about a million baseball games together growing up, I always look forward to catching up and talking life with him on the links back home. Since moving to Cali to play ball for Fresno St, it has been special to see how well he has handled his time there, stayed true to who he is, and maturing so much. Our conversations, and the relationship he has with Evan and I are special and It’s always refreshing to get to be around him.

Tyler and I met in our first semester of grad school but, really didn’t get to know each other until the following semester where we spearheaded our lab group’s dissection of the human body and let me tell you, we had some good times in the formaldehyde haze of the 4-hour long cadaver labs. Since then, it’s been golf and more golf and in-depth conversations about biomechanics and I have loved every second of it. He is an absolute stud and a friendship that has brought so much joy throughout such a trying period in my life. Bible studies on Monday nights are always full of thought-provoking discussions on how we can be better as men each and every day, and I’m beyond thankful for him.

Grace Willis is one of those people that you meet and think wow The Holy Spirit radiates off her. Grace and I met at Kanakuk‘s link year and quickly became close friends. Grace took KB back to Tulsa a couple of times where she introduced KB to the Shapleigh fam and Thank you grace for that! Truly though grace has made an incredible impact on my life and my walk with Jesus. She is all things kind, loyal, funny, and a leader. So grateful to have her by my side as she is one of the people that watched me grow the most in our time at link year.
