Are there places to eat or should I bring food?

Answer

As Shin Pond is a very small town, there are very few selections of where to eat aka 2 places to eat: Shin Pond Village and Owl's Nest Tavern. Shin Pond Village has breakfast, lunch, and dinner (7:30am-8/9pm). Owl's Nest Tavern is lunch/dinner only (see website on Things To Do). If you are staying at a place with a kitchen and want to be your own chef, there is a grocery store (Ellis Family Market) in Patten, ME which is about a 15 minute drive away/on the way to Shin Pond Village.
