We met while both working as nurses at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Both working on the same floor, we first bonded over our passion for nursing and our devotion to our patients. It didn't take either of us long to realize that maybe our mutual interests went beyond our careers. After a few outings with friends, it was confirmed. Our relationship took flight and our journey has brought us here. The roads have been rocky at times and we may not have some fairy tale-like story, but through it all we have grown so much creating something unexpected yet beautiful together. It has revived our souls and gave us a purpose that we didn't know we were missing. We are so happy that you all will be there with us to bare witness to the beginning of our next chapter.

We had a New England fall foliage road trip planned for October of 2019. While in NH one evening we grabbed a bite to eat at a local restaurant/inn/brewery and then returned to our cozy airbnb for the night. We sat by the fire enjoying some local New England beers, talking, laughing, singing to our favorite country songs when Christina unexpectedly popped the question. Without hesitation, Katie, of course responded quickly with a "YES". Being that the excitement was simply too much to bare, Katie pulled out a ring for Christina, that she had planned to propose with during the trip as well. The next day we hiked Franconia Notch State Park in NH where we announced our engagement to our family and friends. We are so excited to travel back to the New England area where we hold some of our greatest laughs and memories to date, as we celebrate this next chapter in our lives. We look forward to making new memories in our favorite place, but this time, with all of you! See you in Vermont!
