Our story is simple on how we met and how "he stole her heart". On November 7, 2015, Kaitlyn was visiting one of her Maids of Honor, Baylee Gearhart, at The Ohio State University, and Brandt was also in Columbus tailgating with his father and friends. We had been getting to know each other since May 2015, and November 7th was the day "he stole her heart". We did not originally have plans to see each other while in Columbus, but ended up spending the day together, and the rest is history from there. Also, we are both Michigan State fans, but we will both say that we thankful for this day spent on Ohio State's campus because it has brought us to where we are now.

We arrived in San Diego, California on friday morning and were getting ready to spend the weekend in Anaheim with Brandt's parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew. Brandt's parents were at a conference for work, so we spent the day at the San Diego zoo and explored the rest of San Diego. That evening we decided to explore Gaslamp Quarters and ate dinner at Rockin' Baja Lobster. This was a place where we could watch the Michigan State basketball game and could still enjoy a nice seafood dinner. After dinner, we took a walk down along the water and ended up sitting on a bench in a park and watched the sun set on the water. It was then when Brandt got down on one knee and asked Kaitlyn to marry him. And, of course, she said yes!
