Welcome to the Show!

Kaitlyn and Beau met during the production of Beauty and the Beast at Near West Theatre in 2017. The production was still auditioning for the roles of the Beast and Lumiere, so Kaitlyn met Beau at his audition to read with the new candidates. Beau ended up booking Lumiere for the show. The next day both arrived at about the same time for rehearsal and were signing in when Beau reintroduced himself, not recognizing Kaitlyn because her hair was styled differently then the previous evening. Beau: "Hey I'm Beau, I'll be playing Lumiere!" Kaitlyn "Yes, I know. I'm playing Belle. We met last night." They had their first date seeing a production of Bonnie and Clyde at French Creek Theatre on October 27, 2017!

We had planned a trip to Walt Disney World in February 2022. Beau was very insistent on getting reservations at the the Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom for Valentine's Day and Kaitlyn had an inkling that he might propose and was frantically texting her sister in law Jo-Anna because she was nervous. Beau and Kaitlyn were seated in the grand ballroom and between dinner and dessert, they were allowed to go explore the other rooms at the castle. While returning to their table, one of the cast members offered to take their picture in the middle of the ballroom. Kaitlyn said let's wait until they were leaving to do so, but Beau said no let's do it now. Kaitlyn awkwardly stood in the middle of the ballroom while Beau gave the cast member his phone (and putting it on video sneaky sneak). As Beau came over, Kaitlyn was like okay ready to pose when Beau got down on one knee. She was so flustered because they were in front of everyone, but obviously Kaitlyn said yes! The other guests applauded and said their congratulations, but importantly Beau and Kaitlyn finally got to go enjoy dessert. (Try the grey stuff, it's delicious!)
