Our Story

For those of you who may not know the exact details of how Anton and I met, let me tell you. Our love for gaming is what started it all. We met online through a game on Xbox around 2014. Both of us started playing games together more and more, then we decided to start messaging one another outside of Xbox. The two of us would spend hours talking on the phone together, fall asleep on video call with each other, and text every minute of the day, here our long distance relationship began. After many discussions over the years, in 2017, Anton came to New York from Louisiana for the first time. He then came back in 2018, 2019, and after much discussion and a lot of guts on Anton's part, in October of 2020, he drove 1,454 miles from his home in Shreveport, LA to Utica, NY thus ending the long distance era of our relationship so our love and dedication to one another can continue to bloom in a new way. Of course there were some hardships and hurdles in the beginning as I, Kaitlyn, was in college, and Anton was trying to get his footing as moving states is no easy feat. After having been together in this new chapter of our relationship for two years and Anton talking about his childhood dog and how much he missed having one around, we decided to start a little family of our own and got our dog, Scooter, in September of 2022. Not too long after, in April of 2023, we decided to take a four day trip to Niagara Falls, ON and along the way detoured to the Scarborough Bluffs, outside of Toronto, ON, where Anton proposed. About a year later, on May 31st, 2024, we officially moved into our first apartment together and then ended up expanding our little family by adding one more animal, our cat Captain Jack Sparrow. Finally, in July of 2025, when timing and finances lined up, we were able to visit his family in Shreveport, LA. Once we came home from the trip, we started seriously wedding planning and set a date. All of this, our story of how we met, our timeline, our struggles, and our love, brought us to where we are today, and we cannot wait to say "I do!"
