Pearl Harbor
At the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, you can learn about one of the most pivotal moments in US history: the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the subsequent entry of the United States into World War II. The USS Arizona Memorial Program is free for all visitors, though a reservation is required. Pearl Harbor is located near the airport, about 13 miles from Waikiki.
Kualoa Ranch
Kualoa ranch is located about 35 minutes from Waikiki. There are several breathtaking views and tours that are optional. This is where over 50 of Hollywood's biggest blockbuster movies and several TV shows were filmed, including Jurassic Park, Jumanji and Godzilla.
Hanauma Bay
Formed within a volcanic cone, today Hanauma Bay offers a pristine marine ecosystem and world famous snorkeling. It also has gorgeous beaches.
North Shore of Oahu
This is a true Hawaiian surf town with amazing shrimp food trucks, shaved ice, shark’s cove for snorkeling, plenty of turtles, and the iconic pipeline surf spot . It is definitely worth the day trip, at roughly an hours drive from Waikiki.
Iolani Palace
This is an amazing place to learn about Hawaiian culture, it was built in 1882 and is the home of Hawaii's last reigning monarchs. It is recognized as the spiritual and physical multicultural epicenter of Hawaii.
