No, our venue is a dry venue. There will be absolutely no alcohol on the premises. If anyone is caught with alcohol you will be asked to leave the venue.
Yes, however, there will be designated smoking area OUTSIDE of the venue. No cigarettes will be allowed inside the barn.
Yes, children will be allowed at the wedding ceremony and the reception. However, the music and atmosphere will change to a more adult friendly reception around 7:30 that night. That way you will be able to remove children from the party if you do not wish for them to see/hear any vulgarness.
Dress code does not have to be black tie. Dress for the occasion, this is a wedding. Dress pants and a nice shirt for men will suffice. For the women, dresses or dress pants and a nice shirt will suffice as well. Please DO NOT wear white.
Please do not bring a plus one if you were not given a plus one on your invite. We have catered enough food for the people and their plus ones. We would love to celebrate with everyone, but we do not want to run out of food.
No, we have hired a photographer to take pictures during the ceremony. Please do not have your phones out, so that the guests seated behind you can enjoy the ceremony as well.
I have listed some hotels in the area that range from Wise, Norton, and Big Stone Gap. These will be ready accessible to you under the Travel category of the website.
We will have barbeque at the reception. This will include BBQ sandwiches, cole slaw, mac and cheese, and baked beans. There will be kid friendly options such as chicken tenders and chips as well.
The ceremony will be starting at 3:00pm, so please be at the venue no later than 2:15
Pictures will be taken of the Bride, Groom and their families. Please DO NOT enter the barn after the ceremony. There will be seating outside and lots of games to occupy time while other guests wait.
Alex and I were required to pay a $500 damage deposit upon booking the venue. Please be respectful of the owners and the Bride and Groom and not do anything to damage the venue.
Please do not reach out to the Bride and Groom if you have any questions on wedding day. Please reach out to Doreen Massey for any further questions that you may have. However, it is encouraged if you would like to send well wishes to the Bride and Groom.
The reception will be family friendly until 7:30. At 7:30 the music and atmosphere will be more adult friendly. If you do not wish for your children to hear such music, we will have a premature sendoff so we can get pictures with everyone if you choose to leave the reception at that time.
